Boy Scout POW WOW Counselor needed

The District POW WOW is in need of a Radio Merit Badge counselor to teach on Saturday Jan 22nd, 8 - 12 (4 classes). This is the final of 3 sessions, the counselor signed up to do it is unable to attend. If you are interested please email me at doug@bagley6.com. or post a comment on this blog.

• All Herriman go radio kits are checked out.
• February Club meeting is on the 12th at the Shops @ Butterfield Park. Go left at the pavilion and park before the gates. Starting time is not yet confirmed but probably 9:00 a.m.
• Jan 19th is the Grand Opening of the Herriman Fire station, tours will be available.

Park (We'll have an opportunity to learn how to setup the trailor, antennas,
and radios.

*May 14th*: License Testing Session

Meeting on Jan 8th 2011

We had a great meeting on Saturday January 8th at the Herriman City hall. We started with updates from the leadership, a show and tell from John, and then an equipment check of the go radios.

Not sure on the final count of attendees but we must have had at least 20 attend.

The go kits we checked for completeness and operational status. Missing parts were consolidate across the 9 kits to 1 kit in need of correction. Several kits were checked out by members. We had an education programming the kits by hand and then all of the kits were standardized by programming them via the laptop with the list that was provided.
